1 Scope
1.1 General
1.1.1 This Standard covers potable water hygiene systems consisting of valves and fittings, electronic sensors, actuators, and control devices intended to ensure the hygienic transport of potable water and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
1.1.2 Hygiene systems covered by this Standard are intended to be installed in water supply systems with a pipe size not larger than NPS-2.
